Trailhead Stripe Celestial 412831 from the P K Lifestyles Cultural Exchange VII Collection is a woven upholstery fabric. This globally inspired design has a beautiful texture and even has the look of being hand woven through skillful weaving and blended colors of yarn. Trailhead Stripe has a repeat of 14 inches vertical by 3.375 inches horizontal. Please note that the stripe runs across the roll. This would be a great selection for a lodge application or for the Southwest look. Trailhead Stripe can be used not only for upholstery fabric but also for throw pillow fabric, cornice board fabric, top of the bed applications, dining room chair fabric and as headboard fabric.

Railroaded fabrics are simply fabrics that have designs turned "sideways" on the roll. The process was developed to aid furniture manufacturers wishing to cut and sew covers on furniture without seams. Since most fabrics woven are approximately 54" wide, any furniture piece wider than 54" would require seaming two pieces of fabric together. Railroading solves this dilemma, now a cushion piece can be covered without seams no matter what the width. Railroaded fabric is very desirable by designers since they can be more creative. When using a railroaded product for drapery, be aware of the panel size in relation to the design.
