Longboard Navy White is a woven, stripe multipurpose fabric in Navy Blue and Off White. It is an amazing fabric that can be used for slipcovers. The stripes are approximately one quarter of an inch in width. The overall pattern repeat is Horizontal one half inch. The layout of this design allows for fewer seams when constructing slipcovers. This is commonly known as Rail Roaded fabric - please click on Rail Roaded Design below in Product Information for additional information. Due to the olefin yarns used in weaving being high heat sensitive, these fabrics have specific cleaning instructions that must be followed for best results. If you are using your washing machine to wash a slipcover use a delicate setting and cold water. It is important to note that to dry the slipcover, line drying is preferred. Typically when removed from the washer after the spin cycle, this fabric is almost dry as it is inherently water repellant. You can use a dryer if you prefer but set it on low heat and for a maximum of 10 minutes- no more or you can cause damage to the fabric. Truly a unique versatile fabric, Longboard is suitable for draperies curtains, cornice boards, pillows, cushions, table covers, bedding, headboards and furniture upholstery fabric.
