Description
Hula Opal is a printed pineapple and leaf design for drapery and upholstery. The design is made to give the look of a hand painted fabric. Colors contained are Sea Blue, Aqua, Spring Green and Sunshine with a background color of White. The repeat of Hula is 25.25 inches vertical by 13.5 inches horizontal. There is also a half inch diamond in the ground that serves a useful purpose. This is a new technology where the diamond helps to maintain a comfortable temperature by transporting body heat off of the fabric while increasing the breathability and ventilation of the covered surface. This being made with polyester makes cleaning easier as well. Just clean with a damp cloth and a mild, water based shampoo or soap. Hula is a great value that delivers and can be used not only for drapery and upholstery fabrics, but also cornice board fabric, headboard fabric and top of the bed applications.

Railroaded fabrics are simply fabrics that have designs turned "sideways" on the roll. The process was developed to aid furniture manufacturers wishing to cut and sew covers on furniture without seams. Since most fabrics woven are approximately 54" wide, any furniture piece wider than 54" would require seaming two pieces of fabric together. Railroading solves this dilemma, now a cushion piece can be covered without seams no matter what the width. Railroaded fabric is very desirable by designers since they can be more creative. When using a railroaded product for drapery, be aware of the panel size in relation to the design.
