Description
Jaybird 376 Clay from Covington is a printed 100% cotton drapery and upholstery fabric. This design flows beautifully across the fabric in the colors Cocoa Brown, Grey, Mint, Leaf, Rose and Vanilla, against a background color of Dark Salmon. This fabric is enhanced by the very subtle slub yarns in the cotton fabric to add a pleasing textured look. To give you an idea of the scale, the bird measures approximately 11 inches wide, including the tail feathers, by 3 inches in height, while the overall pattern repeat measures 25.13 inches vertically by 27 inches horizontally. In addition to being an upholstery fabric or a drapery fabric, Jaybird can also be used for top of the bed applications, cornice board fabric, throw pillow fabric and headboard fabric.

Railroaded fabrics are simply fabrics that have designs turned "sideways" on the roll. The process was developed to aid furniture manufacturers wishing to cut and sew covers on furniture without seams. Since most fabrics woven are approximately 54" wide, any furniture piece wider than 54" would require seaming two pieces of fabric together. Railroading solves this dilemma, now a cushion piece can be covered without seams no matter what the width. Railroaded fabric is very desirable by designers since they can be more creative. When using a railroaded product for drapery, be aware of the panel size in relation to the design.
