Fringe Leaf Wheat 470833 from the P K Lifestyles Happy Nest V Collection is a woven drapery and curtain fabric called "fil coupe". Fil Coupe, also known as cut thread, is a textile technique characterized by the creation of patterns with clipped yarns. The term "Fil Coupe" is derived from the French words "fil" (thread) and "couper" (to cut), reflecting the process of cutting specific yarns to achieve the desired look. The cut yarn is the area of the leaf that borders the leaf giving the raised soft texture. This fabric is very, very soft and drapable. This is not suggested for upholstery as the clipped yarn is more for decoration and texture. In addition to drapery and curtain fabric, this also could be used for throw pillow fabric, cornice board fabric, and headboard fabric.
